Sorridendo con Chekov di Alfonso Masi

On the occasion of the feast of Saint Lucy on Saturday, December 13th, actors Alfonso Masi, Augusta Gretter, Mirna Moretti, Mariateresa Perasso, Patrick Coser, Riccardo Lucatti, and Luciano Maino are offering the play "Smiling with Chekhov" (Sorridendo con Cechov) free of charge to the public at the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera private gallery.

The play consists of two acts: "Tobacco Is Bad for You" and "Tragic Reluctantly."

Anton Pavlovich Chekhov was a Russian writer (Taganrog 1860 - Badenweiler 1904). He studied medicine in Moscow (1879–84) and contributed humorous short stories to magazines and newspapers, which he collected in two volumes: Skazki Melpomeny ("Melpomene's Tales", 1884) and Pëstrye rasskazy ("Colorful Tales", 1886). Their success allowed him to devote himself entirely to his literary career. One of the most distinguished narrators of contemporary Russian literature, from his earliest comic and caricatural works he aimed at the essential: his laughter was dry, calm, sometimes sad, but with a tenacious love of life. Admission to the performance is free, subject to availability, and is offered by the actors in collaboration with the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera aps cultural association, the Municipality and Pro Loco of Rovere' della Luna, Studio Martorelli Ingegneria Archeologia Formazione, and Cassa Rurale Val di Non Rotaliana e Giovo.
